Collagraph is a process of printing from textured plates, created through collage and other additive and subtractive techniques. It is a playful, experimental process employing natural or common household and recycled materials.

On Day 1, participants will learn how to construct and seal a simple collagraph plate, how to ink up, wipe and then print it using the etching press.

Some ‘homework’ will be suggested to experiment with other materials before the next session.

Day 2 will focus on printing, exploring work with colour and layering.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or more experienced printmakers who would like to revisit collagraph. All materials will be provided.
