Membership

The Print Studio is now under the management of East Quay (Onion Collective CIC).

There are two core membership tiers:

  1. Keyholder membership offering independent access for experienced printmakers requiring regular and more expansive use.
  2. Standard membership offering flexible access for less experienced printmakers who may require some technical support, or confident printmakers who need less regular access. 

Each tier offers different levels of access, engagement and pricing: see below. If you just wish to attend courses and workshops, with tutors, run by the Print Studio, you do not need to be a Member (although membership does give you a 10% discount).

Keyholder Members 
  • Independent access for experienced printmakers.
  • £50 per month paid by rolling monthly DD.
  • Bookable access to the Studio outside of Reserved Times (access is usually available approximately 4 days a week). 
  • Option to take part in Open Weekends programme which means work is displayed for sale, subject to commission at 20%, in exchange for manning the studio.
  • Option to sell works via Print Studio area of East Quay online shop (once set up, dates TBD), subject to commission at 20% and VAT at 20%.
  • 10% off courses.
  • 10% off in East Quay cafe and shop. 
  • Staff lunch discounts (usually £3 soup or cheese on toast or pasta offers).
  • Exhibition sales and project opportunities, for example, priority for the Mini Print exhibition. 
  • Must have completed induction (£40) and shown competence to work independently in at least one station. No technical support for sessions.
  • Minimum 6 months.
  • Option to be part of the Own Art scheme.
Standard Members
  • Flexible access for less experienced printmakers who may require some technical support, or confident printmakers who need less regular access.
  • £5 per month paid by rolling monthly DD, providing access to pay-as-you-go sessions
  • Access to pay-as-you-go Open Access sessions charged at £25/day or £15/half day (available minimum two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays); with technical support available.
  • To note, technical support does not mean personalised tutoring; printmakers must be able to work independently, but a technician will be on hand during Open Access sessions. 
  • Access to pay-as-you go 1-2-1 tutoring with Studio Technician (£30 per hour).
  • 10% off courses.
  • 10% off in East Quay cafe and shop. 
  • Exhibition sales and project opportunities, for example, priority for the Mini Print exhibition. 
  • Must have completed induction (£40) (new members, on joining) and shown competence to work independently in at least one station.
  • Minimum 6 months.
